Free to start · Warm, vetted tutors · Background-checked for children · Built by a parent
One home, every stage of the journey.
Every parent wants to give their child something that lasts. We believe the two greatest gifts are a child's heritage, and a curiosity about the world that never fades.
A child who learns another's language begins to understand another's world. That is how kinder generations are made, one little one at a time, and it is the legacy Oreofe helps you pass on.
Smart parents know foundations are laid early. A child soaks up a language in a way an adult never quite can again, so the gift you give now lasts a lifetime.
A child's brain is never better at language than in the first few years. Early exposure builds a natural ear that's hard to gain later.
Language arrives through songs, stories, games, cooking and cultural moments, so children learn to live the language, not just recite it.
The journey deepens as your child does, from first words as a baby to real conversation and skills by the time they're older.
For Yoruba and Igbo especially, this is how a mother tongue passes on, even if you're not fully fluent yourself.
Browse warm, vetted tutors by language, age and level, then reach out. A real human, matched to your family.
French, Spanish and English are among the world's most useful languages, so an early start keeps future options wide open.
Oreofe follows how babies truly pick up language, a gentle path that grows with your child and shows you what to do at every step.
From the earliest months we bathe the ear in the language's music, lullabies and everyday words, while the window is widest.
Naming, songs and play turn those sounds into words, with you learning right alongside them.
Stories, culture and cooking bring it to life, and a tutor deepens it whenever you're ready.
We watch the internet so you don't have to, and keep only what truly teaches: slow, clear, mouth-forward, made for little ones.
Yorùbá and Igbo sit beside French, Mandarin and more, so your child keeps their roots and gains the world.
Warm, vetted, background-checked tutors, for your child, for you, or for the two of you together.
Little ones pick up songs long before words, so start free and easy with our library, then add a real tutor whenever you're ready. You're never locked into one way.
A growing library of lullabies, songs, stories and everyday videos in many languages, curated from real native speakers. Made to be enjoyed by parent and child together, on the sofa, in the car, at bath time.
When you're ready for more, book a friendly, vetted tutor for one-to-one sessions, for your child, for you, or for the two of you together. Optional, never required.
Our flagship. Where the journey begins.
Learn, reconnect, or prepare for exams.
Where these languages pay off in work and life.
Language is where we begin, but the dream is bigger: a warm home for families of every language we teach, from Nigerian to French, Spanish, Chinese and Korean, to find everything the early years need, and to find each other.
Songs, videos and tutors so your child grows up speaking, and you learn right alongside them.
Meetups, playdates and cultural events, grouped by language, so families find their people.
A trusted place to find childminders, nurseries and more, all sharing your language and culture.
I began teaching my baby girl French, singing along to the videos she loved and learning right beside her. And I felt the ache underneath it too: I'm not fluent in my own Yorùbá, and I can't bear the thought of our language and culture fading with my generation.
Oreofe is the thing I went looking for and couldn't find, a warm home where a parent and child grow a language together, from the very first sound, in the tongues that matter to them. If that's your ache too, you're exactly who I built this for.
The best things I can give my child are her heritage and a heart that understands every other child, whoever they are and wherever they are from. I see it already in the way she hugs every child at the playground and shares her snacks. That is the legacy worth sharing, and it starts with our little ones.

It starts the moment they start listening. Each stage builds gently on the last, weaving in the songs, games, food and culture that make a language feel like home rather than homework.
The gentlest beginning. Lullabies, greetings, everyday words and playful parent-and-baby sessions that fill your home with the sounds of the language.
Where it gets joyful. Picture stories, counting songs, colours and animals, and simple games that make new words stick because they're fun.
The language leaves the page. Real conversation, reading together, cooking a dish in the language, and cultural events and festivals that connect them to where the words come from.
Fluency and pride. Deeper culture, real self-expression, and, for French, Spanish and English, the first glimpse of where a language can lead in study, travel and work.
The easiest place to start. Little ones learn songs before they ever learn words, so dive into a growing, curated library you and your child can enjoy side by side, no tutor needed to begin.
Not fluent yourself? Perfect. Press play and learn right alongside your child, on a path that grows as you both do.
Grown-ups already know how to steer their own learning, so here it's about your goals, your pace, and the reasons that matter to you.
Speak from day one with a patient tutor, whether for family, faith, travel or the pure joy of it.
Didn't grow up speaking Yoruba or Igbo? Reclaim it now, and speak with elders and family in the language of home.
Structured help for DELF and DELE, English exams like IELTS, and school or university goals.
Practical, real-world language for a trip, a move, or a job that needs a second tongue.

Oreofe (oh-ray-oh-feh) is a Yorùbá word for "a gift, freely given". It began with one mother, one small daughter, and a wish that wouldn't let go.
I want my daughter to meet every child with an open heart, whoever they are and wherever they come from. A child who learns another's language begins to understand another's world, and that is how empathy takes root, and how the world grows a little kinder, one small child at a time.
I see it in her already, in the way she hugs every child at the playground and shares what she has. One day she may know a little of Korean history, trade words with an Igbo grandparent, and love a French song, not to get ahead, but to grow whole. English will always let us speak to one another, and a child who stays curious about the world, its languages, its stories and its people, carries that curiosity for life. It keeps them learning, growing and thriving. That is a legacy worth passing on. It is why I built Oreofe.
I started teaching my baby daughter French, singing along to the same little videos she adored, picking it up right beside her. It was joyful, and it was also a quiet reckoning, because I am not fluent in my own Yorùbá, and I don't want the language and culture I was born into to slip away with my generation.
I went looking for a place that would help a parent and child learn a mother tongue together, from the very first sound, and that treated Yorùbá and Igbo with the same love as French or Mandarin. I couldn't find it. So I'm building it.
Oreofe is for the parent who wants more for their child: roots and reach, heritage and horizon. Whether your language is spoken by millions or barely written down, your child deserves to carry it, and you deserve help to pass it on.
